Authentication seems to be working properly for most users.
We're still cleaning up a few accounts that were disrupted during the backup recovery that Auth0 performed. We will notify those users by email.
If you have any trouble with your account, please ping us on the forums, on Github, or on our Slack channel.
A full postmortem will be coming in the next few days.

Update
Signup and sign in is now enabled across all Expo platforms. We're still seeing intermittent issues with some user accounts, and are working with Auth0 to resolve these issues.
We're still monitoring the situation, but all critical services are restored.

Monitoring
At approximately 9:00 PM PST on 10/25/2017, we started experiencing a major authentication system outage affecting all authenticated actions in Expo's API (logging in, publishing, updating your profile, etc). While a full root cause analysis is yet to be determined, we know that this outage was caused by our authentication provider, Auth0. Internal processes in their API malfunctioned during this outage, causing logging into an account to trigger a chain reaction of evens that would corrupt user profile metadata.
Important: no published Expo experiences were touched during this outage -- only user profile data was affected.
As of right now, we have enabled sign in on the web, Expo Client, and through dev tools. Creating new accounts are still disabled as we wait to hear back more confirmation of data integrity from Auth0.
